Sianne Productions is a company set up by us; Simon and Anne. We have moved from London (UK) to Sri Lanka to take care of Anne’s parents. With us we bring our experience of video and wedding photography to Colombo, Sri Lanka. We specialize in photo journalistic, also called story telling, event and wedding photography. We are there to capture your story and transform it into a lasting memory.

Remember your Wedding?

To some people our wedding photography and wedding video style is slightly strange, but more over very beautiful and special. Many people tell us:

‘I wish I had found out about your work before I got married! Look at my wedding album, it contains 50 pictures of me and my partner and they all look the same! If we look back in some years time we wouldn’t be able to remember a single thing of what happened during the wedding at all…’

No matter if we look at events or wedding photography and video, it remains a very special art to snap that perfect picture at that precise moment.

Control your own wedding day

We hear all too often how photographers spoiled the day by telling you to stand here and do this and drop everything. Some are even so rude that they interrupt the church ceremony just to take their picture!

In that case you can just as well ask your uncle or friend to take the pictures. Give them the right equipment and they are likely to do a fine job. But then again, do you want a wedding album with 50 boring looking, posed pictures of you and your partner or do you want more, much more?

A lasting memory

If you are looking forward to a perfect wedding and a lasting memory then realize that:

• Not all of us have the skills required to capture those special moments you will share throughout your wedding day.
• Not all of us know how to handle a camera as professionals.
• Only few have the skill of pressing the button at the right moment.

And not all of us are able to merge into the environment and let you enjoy your wedding, only to surprise you with a most wonderful story telling video and photo album shortly after. How do some manage? Well, let’s say that they are the true artists!

Important note regarding traditional wedding photographers

Please note that by no means do we wish to discredit any photographer that specializes in the traditional wedding photography. On the contrary, we actually believe that there are traditional wedding photographers that produce the highest quality of work with the most beautifully posed pictures.

Then again we share the opinion of many married couples we interviewed, our customers and perhaps you, that the traditional wedding photography is dull and boring and doesn’t leave you with a lasting memory of your special day.
